Graphic Designer & Video Editor

Job Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Graphic Designer and Video Editor located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The role involves designing visually engaging graphics, creating compelling video content, editing and enhancing multimedia materials, and ensuring alignment with branding and project goals. Collaboration with various teams to execute creative concepts and support marketing strategies will be an integral part of daily tasks. The role demands a keen eye for detail, creativity, and an ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Media Production, or with related field of study

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year experience

• Prior experience in graphic design and video editing is advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create visual concepts and designs that communicate ideas, promote products or services, and enhance brand identity

• Stay updated on design and video editing trends and apply them to projects

• Use graphic design and video editing software to create visually appealing content.

• Develop visual concepts, layouts, and branding materials aligned with organizational guidelines

• Capture, organize, and edit raw video footage, including adding transitions, text, sound, music, and visual effects

• Maintain and organize digital media files, templates, and creative assets

• Works closely with marketing, communications, and other departments to develop visually appealing content that aligns with organizational goals and branding standards

Skills & Competencies

• Graphic Design: Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other graphic design software.

• Video Editing: Expertise in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools; ability to create and enhance video content.

• Creative Skills: Strong skills in visual storytelling, typography, and color theory to develop engaging multimedia content.

• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and adhere to project requirements.

• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with motion graphics, animation tools, and video production techniques is a plus.

• Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
